Joseph W. Pelaski, 51, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Union County, died at his residence September 1, 2003.

Joey owned and operated Joey's Bar for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Pam; two daughters, Ashley R. Pelaski of Bowling Green and Whitney E. Pelaski of Evansville; his mother Dorothy Sugg of Morganfield; two sisters, Sandra Healy of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Gail Utley of Morganfield; three brothers, Robert Pelaski of New York, N.Y., Anthony Pelaski of Bowling Green, and John Pelaski of Palm Springs, Calif.; two nephews Matt Healy of Valley Station Ky., and Todd Utley of Bowling Green; and a niece Jill Utley of Morganfield.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., today, Wednesday, September 3, at Alexander West Chapel with Deacon Richard Grannan officiating. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to service time Wednesday at Alexander West Chapel.

Nealie A. West, 86, of Corydon, died Friday, August 29, 2003 at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree.

Mr. West was born in Union County Jan. 28, 1917. He was a retired tailor and had owned a dry-cleaning business in Madisonville. He had also worked at different dry-cleaning businesses during his life.

Survivors include three daughters, Ann Whitledge and Beverly Higdon, both of Dixon and Jeanetta Newcomb of Grand Rivers; three sons, Frankie, Randy and Robert West, all of Henderson; one sister Junell Collins of Clay; three brothers, Carl and Buddy West, both of Sturgis and Charles West of Decatur, Ill.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 31, at Townsend Funeral Home with Rev. David Townsend officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Clay.

Kevin L. Pierson, 33, of Evansville, Ind., formerly of Union County, died Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at his residence.

Mr. Pierson graduated form Union County High School and attended the University of Kentucky. He was an assembly team member at Toyota. He attended Bible Center Cathedral.

Kevin enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing.

Survivors include his wife Bobbie Pierson of Evansville; two sons, Kevin Spencer Pierson and Noah Cameron Pierson, both of Shelbyville; one daughter Gabrielle Marie Pierson of Shelbyville; a stepson Joshua Dwayne Williams of Evansville; a stepdaughter Ashley Nicole Mills of Evansville; his parents, Kenneth and Maria Pierson of Eddyville, formerly of Sturgis; three brothers William A. Pierson of Eddyville, John E. Pierson of Rumsey, Ky., and Timothy W. Pierson of Manitou; and grandmothers Susie M. Pierson of Fredonia and Maria T. Arriola of El Paso, Texas.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Rick Van Hoose officiating. Burial was in the Park Lawn Cemetery.

Charles E. Adams, 77, of Morganfield, died at 10:25 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.

Mr. Adams was a W.W.II veteran and served in both the Army and Navy.

For several years he was Chief of Police in Blanchard, Oklahoma and retired from Peabody Coal Company #1.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years Shirley Dye Adams; one daughter, Tammy Adams of Murray; one stepdaughter, Debra Schafer of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; two stepsons, Dennis Eastwood of Sturgis and Gary Eastwood of Barling, Ark.; four other children, Tia Bolz, Tiawana, Jeanette Ward and Tony Adams, all of Oklahoma; and several grand and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Aug. 30, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev. Mike Littrell officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

James C. Fellows, 81, of Morganfield, died Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at his rural residence.

Survivors include his wife Leona Fellows; one son, Dr. James M. Fellows of Henderson; and a sister-in-law Virginia Fellows of Morganfield.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 28, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev. Mark Galloway officiating. Burial was in the Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

William "Bill" Pike, 85, formerly of Union County, died Saturday, August 2, 2003 at his home in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Pike, a native of Uniontown, was born March 26, 1918, the son of William Joseph and Julia Ruark Pike.

He was a small arms inspector with Civil Service, was a Navy veteran, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Jean Pike in 1968 and a daughter Linda Pike.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Claxton Pike; two daughters, Mary Ann Willis and Brenda Pike, both of Hopkinsville; one son William Gary Pike of Aberdeen, Maryland; two stepsons, Boitnott B. Gentry of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Ronald W. Gentry, of Dawson Springs; a brother, J.R. Pike of Henderson; a sister Elouise Kavanaugh of Newburgh, Ind.; five grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 5, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. John M. Thomas officiating.

Burial was in the Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
