Jeff Stevens,
40, of Morganfield, died at 9:47 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Western Baptist
Hospital in Paducah due to complications from diabetes.
Survivors include
his parents Jack and Linda Stevens of Henshaw; two sons, Jacob and Tyler Stevens,
both of Bowling Green; one brother, Mark Stevens of Morganfield; and aunts and
uncles.
Funeral services
were held Sunday, July 27 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev.
Jim Lane and Bro. Ken Brown officiating. Burial was in the St. Ambrose Cemetery.
Expressions of
sympathy may be made to the Jacob and Tyler Stevens College Trust Fund or to
the American Diabetes Foundation.
Maudline Rushing,
83, of Fredonia, died at 2:10 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2003 at Regional Medical
Center in Madisonville after a long illness.
Mrs. Rushing was
a retired painter from Shawnee Plastics and was a member of Northside Baptist
Church.
She was preceded
in death by her parents George W. and Nancy Ann (Shepherd) Pinnegar.
Survivors include
her husband William H. Rushing; four daughters, Linda S. Hamby of Princeton,
Shirley A. Riley and Anita J. Oliver, both of Kuttawa and Brenda K. Rowland
of Fredonia; nine sons, Roger D. Rushing of Sturgis, Carl E. Oliver, David L.
Rushing and Jerry D. Rushing, all of Fredonia, Harold D. Oliver of Calvert City,
R.W. Oliver Sr. and William P. Rushing, both of Princeton, Gary A. Rushing of
Marion and Junior Hayse Pinnegar of Cape Coral, Fla.; one brother, Nay W. Pinnegar
of Lake City, Fla.; one sister Erma L. Whitmon of Princeton; 36 grandchildren;
and several great-grandchildren
Funeral services
were held Monday, July 28 at Morgan's Funeral Home in Fredonia with Rev. Tommy
Tackett and Rev. David Royalty officiating. Burial was in the Fredonia Cemetery.
Claire McCullough,
73, of Evansville, Ind., died July 25, 2003, at her residence.
Claire was of the
Episcopal faith and helped start St. Mark's East Church in Morganfield.
Survivors include
three sons Charles Michael McCullough of Evansville, Ind., and Richard Clay
McCullough, of Ashland City, Tenn., and Brian Patrick McCullough of Gilbertsville,
Ky.; one daughter Katie McRobbins of Fairfield, Conn.; the father of her children,
Richard Frank McCullough of Morganfield; and a grandson Jonathan Aaron McCullough
of Lexington.
Funeral services
were held Tuesday July 29, at Alexander East Chapel with Rev. Ray Lord officiating.
Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Disabled Veterans
at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Illinois.

Sister Jean
Bernadette Roberts, 85, died Sunday, July 20, at Nazareth Home in Louisville.
Sister Jean Bernadette
and her twin brother, Bernard, were born to Dolly and Peter Roberts February
2, 1919 in Morganfield. She entered the Sisters of Charity Jan. 18, 1938 along
with her sisters Agatha and Agnes. They pronounced vows July 19, 1939.
In her 64 years
as a Sister of Charity, sister served as a teacher in elementary and high schools
in Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama and as a medical technician in Kentucky and
Arkansas. She also served as librarian at Russell Hall, Nazareth. Her final
days were spent at Maria Hall, Louisville where she enjoyed cat books and an
occasional live cat visitor.
She was preceded
in death by her twin brother Bernard; and her triplet brother and sisters, Steve,
Sister Agnes Vincent and Sister Agatha Maria.
Survivors include
two half-sisters, Anna Laura Renner of St. Louis and Sue Mary Wedding of Morganfield;
a cousin Marietta Clements of Morganfield; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services
were held Wednesday July 23 at St. Vincent Church at Nazareth Ky. Burial was
at the Nazareth Mother House near Bardstown.
