Ernest Money, 79, of Morganfield died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County.

Mr. Money was a deacon at Whispering Meadows Baptist Church and a member of the Executive Board of the Ohio Valley Baptist Association. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the American Legion Post.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Grace; two daughters, Barbara Thomas of Kingsport, Tenn. And Vicki Gill Utley of Providence; one son, Ricky Money of Princeton; three sisters, Irene Fultz and Grace Bowling, both of Middlesboro, Ky. and Daisy Bolton of Knoxville, Tenn.; and two brothers, John Money of Middlesboro and Bill Money of Lughin, Nev.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield . Visitors may call from 8 a.m. until the service time. Rev. Royce Pile and Jim Cowan will officiate with burial in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

Bettye Hendrickson, 73, of Morganfield died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, and was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Collins.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, H.C. Hendrickson; one daughter, Paula Young of Morganfield; one son, Gary Mike Hendrickson of Morganfield; four sisters, Elizabeth Risinger of LaGrange, Ky., Virginia Risinger of Morganfield, Dorothy Samples of Evansville, Ind., and Margaret Reagan of Austin, Texas.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 25 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield with Fr. Gerald Baker officiating. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1:30 until service time at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice.

J.B. Oglesby, Sr., 70, of Henderson, died Friday, June 20, 2003 at his residence.

Mr. Oglesby retired after 25 years with PB&S Chemical Company.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ruby Mosley Oglesby; two daughters, Rita Sigler of Henderson and Margaret Moran of Morganfield; two sons, Frank Brantley of Louisville and Bobby Ronald Brantley of Eldorado, Il.; one sister, Alanda Brinkley of Henderson; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, June 25 at 1 p.m. at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Brother Bill Ervin officiating. Visitors may call from 10 a.m. until the service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

David M. Brisby, 43, of Uniontown died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at his residence.

He was a member of Uniontown Baptist Church and was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Brisby.

Survivors include his parents, Donald and Norma Brisby of Uniontown; one daughter, Lacee Brisby of Waverly; one son, Jakob Brisby of Waverly; and one brother, Mark Brisby of Uniontown.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 23 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Rev. Chris Reynolds officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellow Cemetery in Morganfield.

Dock E. "Buster" Wright, 84, of Sturgis died Saturday, June 21, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County.

He was a WW II Navy veteran, and a former business owner and farmer. He was a deacon in the First Baptist Church in Sturgis.

He was preceded in death by his wife Alberta Wright in 1983 and a grandson, Roger Markham, in 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Reba Markham of Fredonia, Ky. and Ona Sue Gibbens of Sturgis; one son, Don E. Wright of Sturgis; two sisters, Mandy Butts of Sturgis and Mary Holmes of California; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 23 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Kelly Beaver officiating. Burial was in Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice.

Andrea Lee Thomas, 33, of Morganfield died Friday, June 20, 2003 as the result of an accident on V.T. Crawley Rd. in Morganfield.

Survivors include her husband, Phil W. Thomas of Morganfield; two sons, Benjamin and Ethan Thomas, both at home; one sister, Jessica Garrett of Morganfield; one brother, Rodney B. Simms of Hitesville, Ky.; her mother and stepfather, Pat and Bill Smith of Hitesville; and her fathr Rodney Simms of Owensboro.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with Fr. Terry Devine officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Uniontown Elementary School.

Caroline Grace Thomas, 23 months, of Morganfield, died Friday, June 20, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County.

Survivors include her father, Phil W. Thomas of Morganfield; two brothers, Benjamin and Ethan Thomas, both of Morganfield; and her grandparents, Rodney Simms of Owensboro, Pat and Bill Smith of Hitesville, Ky. and Helen Dean Thomas of Morganfield.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with Fr. Terry Devine officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Uniontown Elementary School.

Tommy Fay Whitledge, 74, of Boxville, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the home of her caregiver, Hilda Cutler of Morganfield.

She was a lifelong member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ and had worked for Wal-Mart for 17 and a half years, retiring in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her brother, M.D. Riggs in 1974, her mother Mary Maude Jenkins Riggs in 1977, and her father, Morris D. Riggs, Sr. in 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Jody Hedgepath and her husband Mickey and Midge Cutler and her husband Donald, both of Morganfield; three sons, Wes Whitledge of St. Mary, Ky. and Steve Whitledge and Danny Whitledge and his wife Debra, both of Morganfield; two sisters, Billie Dove Ware of Morganfield and Joyce Holterman of Superior, Wisc.; one brother, Jack Riggs of Henderson; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 22 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield with Bro. Tom Kirby officiating. Burial was in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Union County.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Walnut Grove Church of Christ, the American Cancer Society or Kosair Children's Hospital.

Tangela Renee Long, 20, Morganfield, died Tuesday, June 17 2003 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.

Ms. Long was a 2002 graduate of Union County High School and was an active member of the high school chorus and manager of the girls basketball team.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church in Sturgis and was active in the church and a member of the choir, usher board, and kitchen committee. She was employed at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy and Wal-Mart.

Survivors include one son, Keaun Jamica Kirkwood; her mother Angela Renee Long; her stepfather, Glen Thomason; her father, Anthony Tyrone Hubbard of Raleigh, N.C.; her stepmother, Joy Ahtoinette Hubbard of Raleight; her companion Kweku Kirkwood; four sisters, Chamica Nicole Davis and Shannon Nashae Davis both of Hopkinsville and Kresheena Maria Hubbard and Keya Monique Hubbard, both of Raleigh, N.C.; five brothers, Dathan Alan Long and Terrance Edward Long, both of Morganfield and Corey Lamont Arnold, Anthony Tyrone Hubbard and Isaiah Lamont Hubbard, all of Raleigh; and grandparents, Doris Long Brown of Morganfield and Charles Fairley Hubbard of Hopkinsville.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Carrs Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Morganfield with the Revs. Andre Jimpson and Lawrence Howard Jr. officiating. Burial was in the New Salem Baptist Cemetery in Sturgis.

Mason Brothers Audubon Chapel in Henderson was in charge of arrangements.

William G. Adams, 44, of Kissimee, Fla., formerly of Morganfield, died Tuesday, June 17, 2003 in Kissimee.

Survivors include two sons William Wayne Adams of Morganfield and Brian Adams of Kissimee; his mother Virginia Adams of Morganfield; his father Bill Adams of Morganfield; two sisters Charolyn Carr and Lesia Roberson, both of Morganfield; and three nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 24, at Whitsell Funeral Home with Father Gerald Baker officiating. Burial was in the St. Ann Cemetery in Morganfield.

Hurshell K. Daniel, 76, of Levelland, Texas, formerly of Union County, died at 9:45 a.m., Tuesday, June 17 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock due to complications following a May surgery.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester William and Grace L.(Huffer) Daniel; two brothers Dexter Thomas Daniel and Dolphus "Doc" Daniel; and sister died soon after her birth in 1946.

Mr. Daniel was born Sept. 27, 1925 in Overton County, Tenn. He married Ruthie Gertrude Burrows Feb. 4, 1947 in Morganfield. He was a 33 year employee of Sun (Oryx) Oil Company retiring in 1985. He moved to Levelland in 1969 with Sun Oil Company.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Ruthie; three daughters, Janet Gill and her husband Lyle of Morganfield; Sharon Campbell of Lubbock, and Patty Weaver and her husband Derrill of Kenai, Alaska; two sons, Hurshell Thomas "Tommy" and his wife Sherry of Levelland and Calvin and his wife Joyce of Carlsbad, N.M.; two sisters Eddie Daniel Baker and her spouse Angelo of Edison, Ohio and Dimple Daniel Carlisle and her spouse Richard of Waynesburg, Ohio; and one brother Hollis R. Daniels and his wife Mary Lou of Manito, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Daniel's body has been donated to Texas Tech to the Medical School Research Center.

A memorial service was held Thursday, June 19 at the Levelland Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Gayle McCoy officiating.
