Kathleen Rebecca Hite, 82, of Morganfield, died at 12:02 a.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Hite retired from Union County Hospital in 1980. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. "Jay" Hite in 2000; a daughter Elizabeth Josephine Hite in 1945; and a grandchild Royce Vincent Hite in 1945. Survivors include two daughters, Becky Hogan of Morganfield and Jeannie Shirel of Uniontown; two sons, Bill Hite and Jim Hite, both of Morganfield; four sisters, Helen Frazier and Sue Goben, both of Henderson, Gladys Blake of Uniontown and Betty Jo Bjornberg of Clearwater, Fla.; two brothers, Parvin Moore of Morganfield and Leonard Moore of St. Louis, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at St. Ann Catholic Church with Father Pat Bittel officiating. Burial will be in the St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown. Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and until service time on Thursday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield. Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann School or Methodist Hospital Union County.

Don Graham, 62, of Hillsboro, Ala., formerly of Union county, died Saturday May 31, 2003 in Hillsboro of Leukemia. Mr. Graham was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Stella Graham of Uniontown. Survivors include his wife Debbie; a daughter Melanie; two sons Greg Graham and Don Graham Jr.; five sisters, Sheila Harris of Uniontown, Charlotte Spears, Carolyn Powers, and Brenda Graham, all of Evansville, Ind., and Shirley Davenport of Henderson; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral and burial services were held Tuesday, June 3 in Hillsboro.

Mildred Imogene "GaGa" Cain, 85, of Sturgis, died at 10:55 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Union County. Mrs. Cain was a member of the Grangertown Baptist Church for over 30 years, a member of the Order of Eastern Star- Dekoven Chapter, a member of Peace Rebecca Lodge, Sturgis and a member of White Shrine, Marion, Ky. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Cain in 1984; a daughter Janice Ploeg in 1987; and a son Troy Glenn Stewart in 1983. Survivors include two daughters Judy Garrett of Sturgis and Brenda Mackey of Henderson; one sister, Jo Allen of Morganfield; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, June 2, at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Rev. Don Collins and Rev. John Baker officiating. Burial was in the Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis. Memorial contributions may be made to Grangertown Baptist Church Building Fund.

Odis "Sarge" Godbehere Sr., 79, of Sullivan, died at 9:30 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2003 at his residence. Mr. Godbehere was a retired UMWA coal miner, a World War II veteran and a volunteer firefighter in Sullivan. Survivors include his wife Agnes; one daughter, Darla Cosby of Sullivan; four sons, Odis Godbehere Jr., Roger Godbehere and Ronald Godbehere, all of Sullivan and Gregory Godbehere of Mortons Gap; three sisters, Ida Garrison and Leona Hensley, both of Dayton, Tenn., and Nola Penoyer of Haslett, Mich.; four brothers, Sam, Andy, Johnny and Kenneth Godbehere, all of Dayton, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Rev. Noble Cobb officiating. Burial was in the Sullivan Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice.

Louise Vaughn, 80, of Sturgis, died at 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2003 at her residence. Mrs. Vaughn was retired from the Sturgis Clothing Factory. She was preceded in death by a son Gerald Edward Vaughn in 1950. Survivors include, one daughter, Anna Smith of Sorrento, Fla.; two sons, James Allen Vaughn of Unicoi, Tenn., and Marvin Jewell Vaughn of Morganfield; one sister, Dean Riggs of Evansville, Ind.; one brother, Harold Vaughn of Sullivan; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Tuesday June 3, at Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis with Rev. Noble Cobb and Rev. Sharon Murray officiating.

Helen V. Conley, 78, of Providence, formerly of Uniontown, died Wed., May 28, 2003 at her home. Survivors include one sister Mary Davis of Providence; and two brothers, George W. "Pete" Conley of Evansville, Ind., and Ray Conley of Uniontown. funeral services were held Friday, May 30 at Melton Funeral Home in Providence with Rev. Van Williams officiating. Burial was in the White Oak Cemetery in Webster County.

Walter J. Smith, formerly of Morganfield, died Thursday, May 1, 2003 in Woodbury, Minn. Mr. Smith was a 1950 graduate of Morganfield High School. He is survived by a sister Alfretta Rice of Morganfield.
