Dorothy Ann (Stone) Peak, 64, of Waverly, died at 4:25 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2003 at her son's home in Corydon, Ky.

Mrs. Peak was a member of the Union County-Waverly Wednesday Night Bunco group and enjoyed crafts and needlework. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Peak in February of 1992.

Survivors include four sons, Bryan Keith Wheeler of Waverly, Paul David Wheeler of Corydon, James "Toby" Chestine Wheeler of Austell, Ga., and Michael Allen Wheeler of Fort Riley, Kans.; one sister, Janie Nixon of Waverly; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tapp Funeral Home, Henderson. The Rev. William Henderson will officiate. Burial will be in Green Grove Cemetery in Providence.

Friends may call from 12 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and after 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

B.E. Walden, 58, of Henderson, died at 7:25 p.m., Sunday, May 11, 2003 at Methodist Hospital Henderson.

Mr. Walden was a member of Hyland Baptist Church, where he belonged to the Brotherhood Sunday school class. He owned and operated Walden's Office Equipment and was a member of Jerusalem Masonic Lodge No. 9, Scottish Rite and Eastern Star.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Marilyn Walden; two daughters, Teresa Lynn and Glenda Walden, both of Henderson; one son, Jeffrey Walden of Henderson; three sisters, Ruth Bumpus of Henderson, Jean Yeager of Indianapolis, and Ann Eastham of Spurgeon, Ind.; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home with the Revs. Jeff Coursey, Richard Yeager, Revis Eastham and Royce Powell officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hyland Baptist Church building fund.

Gordon H. Farthing, 76, of Sturgis, died at 11:45 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2003 at Woodlands in Newburgh, Ind.

Mr. Farthing was retired from Whirlpool Corporation in Evansville, Ind.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Joy L. Farthing, March 3, 2003.

Survivors include two sons Wiley Farthing of Evansville and Ray and his wife Lilly Farthing, also of Evansville; one brother, Nelson Farthing of Sturgis; two grandchildren, Ryan Farthing of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kyle Farthing of Evansville, Ind.; three step-grandchildren, Jenny, JoAnn, and Jackie, all of Evansville; and one great-granddaughter Corrine of Phoenix.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 13 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis with Rev. Jim Lane officiating. Burial was in the Pythian Ridge Cemetery in Sturgis.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Lorene Utley, 93, of Uniontown, died at 6:50 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2003 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Mrs. Utley was preceded in death by her husband Francis Utley in 1980; a son Richard Wayne Utley in 1950; and a son Kenneth Utley, April 29, 2003.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary Gladys Frields of Henderson, Shelby Willett of Waverly, and Mattie Frances Greenwell and Doris Cheatham, both of Morganfield; 29 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10 at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Uniontown with Father Terry Devine officiating. Burial was in the St. Peter's Cemetery in Waverly.

Thelma White, 98, of rural Morganfield, died at 11:40 a.m., Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at Shemwell Nursing Home in Providence.

Mrs. White was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.

She was preceded in death by her husband W.W. "Bill" White in 1992.

Survivors include one son W.E. "Buck" White of Morganfield; one sister, Ilyne Tapp of Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren, Dr. Kathryn White of Lexington, Dr. Allen White of Morganfield and Linda Hester of Louisville; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 10 at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis with Rev. Rebecca Salisbury officiating. Burial was in the Pythian Ridge Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sturgis.

Word has been received of the death of Joseph Paul Hendrickson, 84, formerly of Morganfield, now of Safety Harbor, Fla.

Survivors include his wife Rita; five children, one sister Morgena Mason of Golden Colo.; and four brothers, Tommy of Tacoma, Wash., and H.C., Jimmy and Leon Hendrickson, all of Morganfield.

Funeral and burial was held Monday, May 12, in Xenia, Ohio.

Debbie Debra Jennings, 43, of Providence, died Sunday, May 4, 2003 at 11 a.m. at her home.

Mrs. Jennings was born Sept. 27, 1959 in Henderson to the late Robert Nash and Mildred Batts Nash.

She was a housewife.

Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey Jennings of Providence; a son, Jason M. Henshaw of Dade City, Fla.; two brothers, David Batts of Henderson and Butch Nash of Morganfield; two granddaughters; and two nephews.

Graveside services were held Monday, May 12 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville was in charge of arrangements.
